Consultation Fees

Clinical therapy sessions are charged at $225 for a
50-minute session. The remaining ten minutes of the dedicated hour are spent writing clinical notes and session preparation.
 
Medicare rebates of $137.05 per session apply for clients with a Mental Health Care Plan.
 
Private Health Insurance may cover sessions for eligible clients.

Medicare

Currently, Medicare offers a rebate on 10 psychology sessions per calendar year for eligible individuals with a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP). The rebate for a Clinical Psychologist is $137.05 per session. The out-of-pocket expense for clients with an MHCP is $87.95 per session (up to 10 per year).
 

A Mental Health Care Plan can be obtained from your general practitioner (GP). It is often necessary to book a long appointment with your doctor to assess your eligibility.

NDIS

JC Psychology can accept clients who have NDIS funding and are either self-managed or plan-managed.

 

Private Clients

Psychology sessions can be accessed as a private client at $225 per 50-minute session.

 

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Assessments

ASD Assessments are charged at $1,900 for adolescents (14 years and over) and adults. There is currently no Medicare rebate for assessments. Assessments are conducted face-to-face in Moonee Ponds. The cost includes a comprehensive written report. Please contact the clinic to discuss further.
